Tiago Fragateiro is all about movement and sway. Two decades ago, he programmed some of Porto’s late-night rooms with adventurous bookings, then stepped onto the decks himself, refining a sound that’s deep and warm but still spacious and filled with techno’s geometry and groove. His playing style unloads a sense of excitement onto the dance floor, burrowing through the cosmic vortex of psychedelia but still managing to feel homely. A vocal fragment here, a percussive accent there and the musical continuum flows well into the night. Curiosity still leads, and after many years of dedication, Tiago keeps exploring the less travelled paths, returning with hot new material. Strong enough to withstand his descent back to Earth.
